What is it?

Our treatment combines Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) and Auricular Therapy.  Combining these two modalities, QiQiLab triggers a natural rush of endorphins (including serotonin and dopamine) to comfort and support you as you go through the withdrawal phase, and then continue every day life without your habit.

How does Auricular Therapy work?

Auricular Therapy uses acupressure points on the surface of the ear.   Although Auricular Therapy’s roots are in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), it was developed in France in the 1950s by Dr Paul Nogier, who created a comprehensive mapping of the ear.  The outer ear is a micro-system for the whole body, “a ‘homunculus”, and it acts like a switchboard, by sending impulses to the brain to stimulate the release of endorphins (including serotonin and dopamine), lower stress and induce relaxation.  Auricular Acupuncture is used widely for many conditions.

What is Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)?

Low Level Laser Therapy  (LLLT) includes infrared lasers and red light therapy. Red light therapy works on the surface of the skin, and infrared light penetrates deeper into the tissue.  QiQiLab combines the ear mapping of Auricular Therapy with an LLLT probe,  placed on certain points in the ear, to stimulate detox pathways and to trigger endorphins.

The foundation of the QiQiLab treatment
is the NADA protocol

which is a  well established and effective acupuncture treatment, typically performed with needles. Instead of needles, QiQiLab uses the LLLT Probe.  We find the probe increases efficacy, enhances results, reduces session time and makes the treatment accessible for clients with aversions to needles.

During our client consultation we gather insight into the client’s personality and wellbeing needs, and add further bespoke points to help with their own individual habits. This really is an individualised treatment, to respond to the needs of each client.

The Treatment

QiQiLab soothes the transition through withdrawal, preventing the need for any replacement tools, such as patches, gums, food, meds, shopping, gaming, and other harmful distractions.
